Love Note for Paper Players #206

Hi Everyone.  Happy Saturday night.

It's the fabulous Ann's turn to host the Paper Players challenge this week and she has a sketch challenge for us.

It's such a great sketch and I had all sorts of ideas running around in my head.  In the end, I decided to go with a masculine love you card!

I used some elements from the July Simon Says Stamp kit.  I love the DSP as it has messages of love and seemed perfect with the fabulous typewriter sticker.  I embellished the typewriter with an additional heart in the middle of the paper.

Here's my card:

I used the Lil' Inker stitched frame die to create the center piece.  I really do like the way the stitching helps to frame the focal element.   Because the DSP fishtail banners have message os love, I really didn't think an additional sentiment was necessary :-)

The Design Team have created some fabulous cards again this week.  You really should check them out:

Then, don't forget to play along with us this week.  We can't wait to see what you create with this sketch:-)

On a personal note:

My Mac certainly seems to be having issues.  I couldn't get enough cycles on it to actually upload any photographs, and the internet browser is crawling so slowly that I can't get any pages to actually reveal.  Mmmm.. Me thinks I might have to get hold of Apple!  Consequently, I don't have any nature shots for you tonight, but promise I will try and get some for you tomorrow.

It was a grey, overcast morning and I didn't think the sunshine would ever come out.  However, this evening I was able to sit on the deck with a glass of wine and watch the later afternoon sun setting over the wetland and, once again, I realized just how incredibly lucky we are to be able to look at this view every day.  It really does have an incredibly tranquil feel and helps me to decompress everytime I go outside and spend some time there.

Whilst I was on the deck, I saw the Great Egrets in the wetland.... I don't think there are any frogs left there:-)  I was also thinking it was very odd that I hadn't heard Niles and Daphne calling today and looked into the middle of the wetland.  There they were, just wandering around.  I was delighted to see them!

I did get to spend some time in my stamping space today, and am hoping to have more time tomorrow.  I will be back tomorrow night with another card... on condition that I can get my MAC working!   In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Very clean and classic! The stitched die cut border is fantastic and I love the image.

What a fun sketch! Your card is too precious--that typewriter and the sentiments on the DSP. LOVE it!

How much "stuff" do you have on your Mac? I have to periodically move photos to an external hard drive (I do it every January and clear out the previous year's photos) and it speeds up my machine considerably. Just a thought. Of course, mine's a Macbook and not a desktop machine, so it doesn't have quite the memory and storage capabilities of a larger machine, AND, it IS five years old...:oP

P.S. Hi Lou! :o)

So cute! Why do typewriters make my heart sing? Love this one especially with its note of love. The stitched border just adds to the charm of the whole piece!

What a fun masculine card Jaydee! I love that stitched background and your typewriter is so sweet with it's little love note. I might have to CASE using my new Tap Tap Tap stamp set! Hope you sort your Mac issues soon - computers are great when they work, but a such a pain when they don't.

That typewriter is adorable and the stitched frame sets it off perfectly! Great card!
