Watt's up? For casethissketch
04 July 2014
Hi Everyone.
Happy Friday and Happy 4th July! I hope you are all having a wonderful time with your friends and family.
We are getting ready to go off on a picnic - true 4th July style. It's a little warm here right now, so we have decided to go mid-afternoon instead. P&J and R&R are really enjoying the sun and warmth and spent last night watching the Twins play the New York Yankees at Target Field. They loved it!
I saw this sketch across at casethissketch and knew that I wanted to use a stamp from a recent Simon Says Stamp card kit.
Here's the sketch:
It's a very versatile sketch and one that I think is a keeper! :-)
Here's my take on the sketch:
I stamped the light bulb onto a piece of scrap Moonlight DSP as well as onto the Whisper White base. I then fussy cut the DSP piece and placed it over the original stamped image. I then did the same to a piece of textured red card stock and put a little glimmer and shine on it and placed the heart into the middle of the bulb. I then decided it need a frame as it was just "floating", so I used one of my dies and embossed around the focal point.
Pop along to the casethissketch challenge site and check out the fabulous design team cards and, I know they would appreciate you playing along :-)
I'm off to prep for the picnic, but will be back tomorrow with my Addicted to CAS card - and will have some nature photos for you as well.
As always, thank you for your visit and for your comments, you know they mean a great deal to me. Have a wonderful 4th July and warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
