Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday.
I saw this great challenge across at Casethissketch. Now... the sketch had a little twist! They have joined with Tag You're It this week and the challenge twist was to add a tag to the sketch. Now, my readers will know that I am never one to shy away from a tag:
I needed an engagement card for a very special couple and decided that this was the perfect challenge to use as the inspiration for my card.
All I needed was some Shimmer White card stock, a heart stencil, some embossing paste, some distress glitter, my scallop tag punch and the new Express Yourself clear stamp!
Here's my card:
Of course, I needed just a little pop of color and decided that I would use my new Blendabilities to color three little heart embellishments. They were originally blue, but they colored up beautifully.
The scallop top punch was the perfect way to create a tag the right length. The scallop edge also adds a touch of softness to the tag. I love the dimension on the hearts and, I know you can't see it, but the little bit of glitter on top of them adds an extra special touch.
Here's a closeup
On a personal note:
It's been a while since I showed you any wildlife shots, so I thought tonight would be the perfect opportunity to fix that!
I'm pleased to say that these two are still hanging around :-) Which, of course, makes me very happy!
I know this isn't wildlife... but who could resist a photo of the beautiful Bailey, fast asleep and, oh, so angelic! You will notice that he takes up the WHOLE chair. This is 20# of pure gorgeousness!
These guys always make me smile.
Sorry this isn't such a great photo..... but we have plenty of these little guys hanging around the front and back doors. We have to be so careful when we go out at night because they will jump into the house if we aren't careful!
The wetland and woodland never cease to be a source of calm and relaxation for me. It doesn't matter how bad my day can get at the office, all I need to do is go outside, spend 5 minutes watching the birds and looking over the wetland and woodland and I feel that all is well with the world :-) Lou and I never stop telling ourselves how blessed we are.
I'll be back with another card and some more photos tomorrow. I'll also answer some of your questions. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift tonight
Hugs
Jaydee
Oh, I love your super pretty take on the sketch!

This is a beautiful card, Jaydee. The pops of red really set off the simple elegance of the background. :o)
Hooray--there are Niles and Daphne! Bailey? He truly is a beauty! The hummers? Have I thanked you recently for the recommendation on the feeders? I could sit and watch my birds all day. B says I'm an old woman, lol!
We haven't seen as many of our tree frogs of late...I wonder where they are...
Happy Hump Day!
Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou! :o)

Beautiful engagement card and love the embossed paste heart background along with the bit of glitter sparkle and such a sweet tag to go with.
Jaydee, thanks for sharing a bit of your paradise through your pictures.
Enjoy your day and have a wonderful evening

Jaydee;
So lucky the coupe that will receive this lovely card . . . . by the way . . . I'll let you know the date for my 50th wedding anniversary -- ha!ha!ha!
Every year I have one of "those" in my garden . . . only one . . . wonder where he/she comes from.
Much love.
