Sneak Peek: Tee-Hee-Hee

Hi everyone.  Happy Tuesday night.

I thought it was about time you had a break from Ornamental Pine and had a sneak peek at another set from the upcoming SU holiday mini.

Tee-Hee-Hee is a halloween set and, although I don't normally "do" halloween, I loved this set and I knew that the first card I made would be created using this sentiment!

This card is for Pammie and Rach..... they both know why - and I know they both will appreciate this card :-)

Of course, I needed a little inspiration and went along to casethissketch and found this great sketch:

Using Frogtape low tack painter's tape, I masked off 1 inch from either side.  I then mounted the photopolymer shoe stamp and repeatedely stamped it in Tangelo Twist in overlapping lines and then filled in the gaps with Basic Black shoes for a little added drama.  Of course, any great pair of shoes benefits from a little bling.  That's where the Basic Rhinestones came in.

The sentiment was stamped onto heavy vellum.  I was really worried about seeing glue behind the vellum, so I scored the edges of the vellum and folded it underneath the shoe layer and secured it with glue.

Here's my card:

Once the top layer was finished, I secured it to a Tangelo Twist layer and finished with a Basic Black.  I was really happy with how it turned out.  I have to tell you that I LOVE SU's photopolymer sets.  They are so easy to use and ink up fabulously.

On a personal note

The last couple of days I have watched this little guy on our deck.  He is very smart!  He sits on the back of the chair and checks out the siding for moths that might be hiding.  He's very adept at flying close to the house and hovering so that he can pluck the smaller moths off the siding.

Phoebe (1 of 1)

Generally he is heard far more than he is seen.  He has such a distinctive - PHEEBEE call, which, is probably why he is called a Phoebe.  You can learn all about him here.

Niles and Daphne decided to make an appearance!  it had been several days since we saw them and I went out on to the deck and saw them in the grasses.  I loved this photo

N&D (1 of 1)

It really does give you an idea of just how tall the grasses and plants are this year!  Sadly, this photo was taken a few days ago and they have not been back since!  I know I keep saying it, but I really do hope they come back next year.... and... have babies :-)

I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, thank you for your visits, your comments, your emails and your pins!

Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

Love the sentiment (and agree entirely!). And a great tip to hide the adhesive - will definitely try that!

Your wildlife photos continue to impress and amaze! And how can Niles and Zdaphne NOTcomevack? They have a good thing going in your wetland! Fingers crossed!

I don't normally comment very often on the crafty blogs I subscribe to but I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. I am an avid card maker but your blog is so enjoyable and inspirational on so many other levels. I, too, am a nature lover AND I LOVE the way you end each entry with the warm hugs & prayers. There are many days when I make good use of your 'good vibrations'. I am not a church goer anymore [too lazy maybe] but I am very spiritual and strongly believe that a person can speak with whomever they believe in, whether they are in church, a grocery store or [ugh] the bathroom!.Thanks and bless you!!!

Hi Jaydee!

You must have such a beautiful (several) photo album . . . and you make us enjoy with your snap shots. Thanks a lot!!

I also wish to thank Kathy Amstutz for her lovely message . . . I completely agree with her . . . we need not an special place to communicate with God . . . He is always by our side . . . so . . . just talk to Him.

Much, much love to you, Jaydee, and to your sweet followers who contribute with such nice messages.
