Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday.
It's the fabulous Michelle's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and she has a great code word for us.
At first I wasn't quite sure what do do with this - purely because I didn't think I had any "cuddly" type stamps. Then, I remembered a set that Lou had purchased for me when we were in England a few years ago. It was hiding out at the back of my stamping cupboard and once I re-discovered it, realized it was perfect for the challenge.
I have to tell you.... I had the most incredible fun coloring this image. I spent ages with my Copic markers..... ages... listening to classical streaming radio and just totally lost in the ink and the image. It was incredibly therapeutic. So, thank you, Michelle, for helping me rediscover this fabulous stamp - and for the quality time I spent with my copics!
Here's my card:
The 'Lil Inker stitched rectangle die really helps to frame this fabulous image and the sentiment seemed perfect for it. I knew exactly who the recipient of this card was before I even started coloring!
Our fabulous sponsor has a great prize for the winner of the challenge this week. Pop along and check out
I hope you will pop along to Addicted to CAS and check out the fabulous design team cards. The team have really outdone themselves again this week - and our guest designer Tenia
is no exception.
On a personal note:
NOOOOOOOOOOO..... summer is leaving. Nooooooo that can't be... but. the leaves turning on the trees and falling to the ground bring me back to reality. Seriously. It feels about two weeks ago that we finally got summer! Of all the years that I have lived in Minnesota, I have never felt that we had a summer that was this short! Even though I love the colors of fall and the cool of winter... I am definitely NOT ready for it just yet.
Our Norwegian Forest Cat - Sam - well, one of our wegies that is - has become addicted to going outside into the screened in porch every night. When he senses that I have finally finished at my desk, he will nag and nag and nag until I open the door and let them out. The LOVE it out there. The smells, the birds, the drattedly mischevious chipmunk..... are all there for their entertainment. I love it, out there, too. Even though I sometimes end up with my laptop working down there, at least I get to do it with a fabulous view out over the woodland and wetland. We have 180 degree view of nothing but nature and I LOVE it. So, I have to thank Sam :-)
Talking of thanks... I have so many wonderful blog readers to thank for sending in cards for the "Cards for a Cause" this year.... I will have an update on Sunday for you! I really am blessed to have the support of these wonderful ladies!!!
I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card and a card drive update. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
