Holly Jolly for Paper Players
09 November 2014
Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend.
It's the very talented Sandy's turn to host our Paper Players Challenge this week and she has a great color challenge for us.
I decided to use a new stencil as the colors of Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow were perfect for it! Both of these colors are made richer and creamier with the addition of the Very Vanilla. It took me ages to mask off each of the elements, but I think it was worth it.
I added the sentiment layer and decided it had just a little too much blank space on the left hand side. I rummaged around in my ephemera drawer and found a packet of stickers that I had bought on a trip to the UK about 3 years ago. One of them fit with the colors - and the theme! How lucky was that?:-)
Here's my card:
Something strange going on with my colors! I had to take this shot in the kitchen in the evening and it has made the red look more like fire engine red that cherry cobbler!
The design team have created some amazing cards. I hope you will check out their blogs and then play along with us this week.
On a personal note:
I have finally finished processing all of the cards for the Cards for a Cause 2014 update. I have also taken photographs of some of the cards that were submitted by my amazing blog readers. Tomorrow I will have the names of the participants, the total number of cards collected - and the names of the winners for the draws.
I can tell you that I was absolutely blown away by the cards. They are fabulous and I could feel the love in each and every one of them. I know I appreciated the cards, but the recipients will appreciate these beautiful works of art even more than I.
Everytime I do a card drive I am amazed by the talent of my blog readers. Each has a different style, but each is so talented. I was amazed as I went through the cards sorting them and photographing them. I cannot thank all of you who participated enough. You are amazing!!!!
I'll be back tomorrow with the update. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
