Hello - Paper Players #228

You mean the world for Addicted to CAS

Hi Everyone.

Happy Saturday.

It's my turn to host the challenge at Addicted to CAS this week - the first challenge of 2015 and we have a few new team members joining us this year, as well as our guest designer for January - Julia.

A very warm welcome to our new team members - and to Julia!

The code word that I chose for this challenge is:

This was a great opportunity to continue my New Year's resolutions for using items that are sitting in my cupboard.  In this case it was the SU background stamp "World Map".

I stamped it onto vellum and put it behind a circle that I cut out of my top layer.  I didn't have a sentiment that was exactly what I needed, so I opened up my word processing software and, voila! I had the sentiment I needed.

I paired it with an old wooden plane element that I have had in my stash for quite a while.  I colored it with a Lost Lagoon marker to match the stamped world map.

Here's my card:

We hope that you will join us this week and play along with our challenge.  Our winner will receive a stamp set from our fabulous sponsor

On a personal note:

I'm sorry that this is such a short post, but my index finger had an accident with a door.... consequently I have my index finger "buddy" strapped to its neighbor and typing is very difficult.  It takes me ages to type anything :-)

I'm hoping to be back with my Paper Players card tomorrow, but that's totally dependent on whether or not I can actually create a card :-)

In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs
