Watercolor Hello for CasethisSketch
24 April 2015
Hi Everyone. Happy Friday.
I have a very quick post for you tonight. When I saw this great sketch at Casethissketch, I was inspired to use Nance's Paper Players challenge to create a CAS water color card.
Here's the sketch:
I began with a piece of watercolor paper and stamped my poppy in StazOn ink. I briefly dried it with my Heat Gun and watercolored the flowers. I then dried them and added some liquid rubber to the flowers to protect them from the watercolor background I was about to add. I added water to the card base and various shades of green and blue. I worked it until it was ready and then dried it with my heat gun. Once it was dry, I rubbed off the liquid rubber from my flowers and die cut it with a stitched rectangle die.
I die cut the "hello" from the Hero Arts Stamps & Cuts Hello set and inked it up with Gold Encore Ink. I then covered it with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set it. I then adhered it to the watercolored card base. The whole thing was mounted onto a Neenah Solar White #110 card base.
Here's my card:
I hope you enjoyed tonight's card ... I'll be back tomorrow with my Addicted to CAS card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
