Fragrant for Paper Players #247
31 May 2015
Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulously talented Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a Tic-Tac-Toe for us.
I decided to vertical on the right hand column: flower, sequins and any shade of yellow.
I began by stamping the image from my Penny Black Fragrant set onto X-press IT paper. My favorite cardstock for Copic coloring. I used Memento Black ink and then went to work with my markers. Once I was happy with the image, I die cut it using my Oval dies and used some Soft Sky polka dot DSP as the base.
I used fun foam behind the focal image to help lift it from the card base. All that was left was to add the sentiment and, of course, the sequins!
Here's my card:
The design team have created some fabulous cards for your inspiration. I hope you will check them out - and then play along with our challenge this week.

On a personal note:
I got some time to play in my craft room today. As it was so cold outside, it was great to be able to huddle up in my craft room, listen to some fabulous classical music and show some love to my inks and paper. I really do find it immensely relaxing and a form of active meditation.
I hope to get a little more time in my craft room tomorrow and need to do a little reorganization of my dies and embossing folders. I bought some new storage containers that I absolutely love and think they will be perfect for organizing these items.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card for you and some photos of our garden. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Jaydee, this is just lovely! Polka dots, sequin and flowers--all favorites of mine! The bouquet looks so real!
Good luck with your organizing! I try to do that every day, but end up with another huge mess every time I make a card! Hope it warms up soon. It is HOT in GA! XXX, My Friend!

Beautiful card and great coloring. Looks like flowers you had picked from your yard. What a lovely card to brighten;( like a nice ray of sunshine) up anyone's day. Nice touch adding the sequins as well.
Enjoy your day and have a wonderful evening.
We actually have the sun shining today. Something we hadn't seen for quite sometime.
During the month of May, we had only 4 days that we didn't receive some sort of rain showers.

Beautiful card. Would love to see how you organize your craft room and see the containers you bought for your dies and embossing folders. Hope it warms up today for you. Here in Williamsburg, VA, it's going to be in the 90s again today. Sounds like a great day to stay in and stamp, Right?

Love this lovely bouquet of fresh flowers, they look like you picked them from your garden. I love the stitched rectangle dies, that detail on them is a beautiful detail.
Our craft rooms are always in use and at times might be messy but that is the beauty of it all, we are creating and that is what matters most.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful card.

Apologies for my lateness with this one - I am in serious catch up mode today! I love the delicate feel to this card Jaydee - the jam jar of flowers is so pretty against the pale blue background and the smattering of sequins the perfect finishing touch!
