Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulously talented Sandy's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a color challenge for us.

I love this color combo. The pop of red is unexpected and really lifts the blues. When I looked at the colors, they really felt masculine to me, so I decided that I would create a more masculine card.

I started by inking the "fine Feathers" images with a mixture of the two blues onto Whisper White and then fussy cutting the feathers.

I decided to confine the warmer color to just a touch!

Here's my take on the colour challenge:

I do hope yu will play along with us this week. We can't wait to see what you create. In the meantime, there is lots of wonderful inspiration for you at the Paper Players.

On a personal note:

It was a much cooler day today and it was wonderful to be able to escape the heat. Also... we only had a little bit of rain overnight so that meant I was able to stand on the deck and enjoy the animals and watch the flowers grow! I swear we are at the point where it really feels as though the flowers and plants are growing so fast that you can physically see it happen!

Oh... look who is still around!!!

We really are hoping that this is the start of a cluster of them! Only time will tell!

We never get tired of these guys!!!!

I'll be back tomorrow with another project. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight :-)

Great card, Jaydee! Love the layout, love those feathers, and I like how you added just a pop of red. I am always amazed by your nature photos, too. What a beautiful place you live in!

I love those two tone feathers Jaydee and the stitched shapes. The single pop of red from the enamel dot brings your whole card together - gorgeous!

Beautiful card and such a wonderful touch on your display on the pop of red. Really kinda brings the whole card together.
Shame on that deer. Looks like it's sticking out it's tongue at you.

Jaydee, I adore this card! The ombre feathers are gorgeous and that pop of red just makes me smile! Great layout! I love that you used a colored card, too. Seems like the fad is just white cards now. Very cool card...I got these feathers before they retired and haven't inked them up yet! Love how you used the colors, too! That ombre effect is awesome with the little red enamel dot! And love your woodpecker too!
