Hi Everyone.
Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has this great sketch for us:
I couldn't get a decent shot of this card no matter how much I tried. I tried to take a shot outside but the winds are so high that it was impossible to keep the card from flying into the wetlands, so I came inside instead. But, uncharacteristically, there wasn't any sunshine, so it doesn't really capture the warmth of the colors on the card. Isn't that a cute image though?
I hope you will pop along to the Players' blogs and check out their fabulous inspiration cards and then come back and play along with our challenge.
On a personal note:
I apologize for having been absent this week, but my job is keeping me so busy - and they have wanted me to travel for the past three weeks in a row - coupled with Lou being away, trying to get cards made for the card drive, keeping up with all of the tasks required around the house - and trying to do more research on my family tree..... I have been pretty tied up and unable to get to spend time photographing, uploading and editing my cards. I haven't even had a chance to get outside and take photographs of the creatures in our garden either! It's been a pretty busy week.
On top of that... I am not sure where summer went! Today it was 53 as a low and only 68 as a high. We had major storms come through last night and most of our birds have already left and are headed down south. This is REALLY early! 10 days ago the Orioles were here demanding food. 2 days later they were all gone. Not a single Oriole to be seen. The Blue Birds have gone, too. As have the Red Shouldered Blackbirds and the Robins. POOF. GONE. About 4 days later we got a few Orioles and Red Shouldered Blackbirds that must be migrating south from further up north. They have been around for a couple of days stocking up at the feeder but no doubt they will be gone pretty soon, too.
This is really early. About a month early, in fact. So, that tells me that they know something we don't know!
Anyway, I'm off back to my craft room. Have a wonderful Sunday and warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift tonight
Hugs
Jaydee

This card is so adorable, Jaydee. Love those sweet hedgehogs and I admire that you are so diligently working on your card drive. You are such a kind soul. I am also quite fascinated to hear how your weather has shifted so abruptly, and natures response to it. What do the critters know that we don't? I guess only time will tell. And you know I will be checking in with you for updates!

Your hedgehogs are adorable! I love the cute scene you created. The colors do look warm...even though it is much cooler outside today! Where did the summer go is right!
