Sending good thoughts for Addicted to CAS #70
Hugs for Paper Players #259

It's clean and simple beach style for the Paper Players

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday. I hope you are all having a great weekend.

It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our challenge this week and she has a great theme for us:

Don't you just love the badge that Nance created?  I feel as though I could walk down that beach for hours!

I had originally thought that I would use one of my Stampin' Up! sets to create a card, but then I realized I had the perfect piece of DSP that came with my July Simon Says Stamp card kit.  All I had to do was mount it to a card base, stamp a pair of flip flips from the same kit - and voila! The card was complete.   Here's what I came up with:

Ppbeach (1 of 1)

The card base was a piece that had been included in a SSS card kit from last year and I knew that this was the piece that I had to use.  Doesn't it remind you of shimmer waters on a hot day?

The Players have created some amazing cards for your inspiration this week - as they usually do.  I hope that you check them out and then come back and play with us this week:

That's all from me today.   I have had a couple of very late nights... err... early mornings... getting lost in genealogy trying to solve some family puzzles.... getting nowhere, I might add..... that I am rushing around this morning trying to get things done.  In fact, I was so far down a genealogy rabbit-hole that I forgot to put my Paper Players post up last night!
I'll be back tomorrow with another project.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Love this! Fantastic CAS design and perfect colors for the beach. Love the sentiment and the flip flops. :)

I adore this card, Jaydee! The colors, the shimmer and the sentiment is all just perfect. It's exactly how I feel about the beach. So glad you like my badge...I have walked on that exact beach for hours!!

A gorgeous card, Jaydee! The shimmery blue paper is indeed perfect for water. Plus I LOVE the sentiment! With these hot days, how I wish I were at the beach!

What a Beautiful card. That sentiment panel really stands out and so perfect for the sentiment.
Hot here once again in Texas plus our blower fan has gone out which means No air conditioning, so dealing with a hot house in the meantime but thankfully the men will be out in the morning to fix our unit, but in the meantime I'm dealing with ceiling fans along with 3 floor fans to try and keep cool. At least we have air movement but hotter than heck in the house. Trying to sleep in the evening with ice packs and cold wash cloths on.
I am so ready for Fall and the much cooler temperatures.
Have an enjoyable and fun evening

Love that shimmery paper! Fabulous card!

Ha! I'd like to know how you can remember what dsp you had and from where? What a good memory. :-) Love the shade of aqua/blue your paper is and the idea of a beach.

Oh my goodness, I just love that main panel on your card, as well as the pretty card base itself! The addition of the flipflops is perfect! The colors are so deliciously summer! Thanks for making my challenge look awesome!

Jaydee this card is fabulous - it just screams summer and the beach! As soon as I saw it, I knew there was no way I would be able to match it. The flip flops are the perfect embellishment too. Love it!

Jaydee this sentiment panel was absolutely PERFECT for this challenge! Love it, and love your sparkly flowered flip flops. I wish I had a pair just like them!
