Hi Everyone.
This is going to be a very quick post tonight, but I did want to share a card I made using the sketch from Case this Sketch and the colors from Ink-spire me.
As with all of my cards for the next few weeks, this one is going into our 2015 Cards for a Cause card drive, so I'm really focusing on bright and cheerful colors where I can and this color combo from Inkspireme was the perfect mixture of bright colors.
For the circular element, I stamped a Rubbernecker Poppy using Smoky Slate onto a piece of watercolor paper and then used Silver Embossing powder to create the outline of the Poppy. For the middle of the Poppy I pulled out my Blushing Bride and Watermelon Wonder inks and used a watercolor brush to color in the area, focusing the Watermelon Wonder in the middle of the flower. I then took my Mint Macaron ink pad and used that to create the color around the flower. I used Watermelon Wonder as the base of my card. The card base was embossed with the new SU brick embossing folder to give it a little more detail.
Here's my card:
On a personal note:
I couldn't close out tonight without sharing another butterfly photo with you. I captured a shot of this Great Spangled Fritillary on the sunflower. The coloring of the butterfly was just perfect for the flower.
I'll be back on Friday with my Addicted to CAS card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Hi Jaydee!
Did you apply the outline of the poppy with a pen? I have not decided yet to buy the glue and embossing powder since I am afraid that it might get dry . . . I would not use it often, only for special cards. I think I will take some courses on colouring . . . your cards look so beautiful! I have ordered "beaucoup" scrap-booking material, but I have not found yet the "Enamel Accents" . . . I fell in love with the way you applied it to the word "hello" . . . several layers and then the enamel. Thanks for sharing the butterflies' pictures . . . I do not remember where I read they were kisses from God.
