Fright Night for Addicted to CAS #75

 Hi Everyone.  Happy Saturday.

It's the fabulous Ceal's turn to host our Addicted to CAS Challenge tonight and she has a timely one for us :-)

Well, as I was making cards for the charity Cards for Hospitalized Kids - it seemed really appropriate to make a fun shaker card using my favorite new Halloween set - Fright Night.

I started by cutting out a circle and used my distress inks to create a harvest moon.   I then cut a circle out of my front panel - and partly stamped the cobweb onto the top.   Well.. it has to be partial, right?  Cos on a spooky house the cobwebs never seem to be complete :-)

I then stamped my owl on his branch onto x-press it paper and colored him with my Copic Markers.  All that was left to do was to create the shaker component, fill it with gold sequins and assemble the card.

Here's my card:

Frightnight (1 of 1)

I do hope you will join our challenge this week.  The winner will receive a wonderful prize from our sponsor this week - 4 digis:

We also have a new guest designer joining us this week -Joyce (Cards-by-the-Sea).  You really should check out her fabulous blog.    Joyce and the rest of the design team have created some wonderful inspirations for you, so I hope you will pop along to our challenge blog and check them out.

On a personal note:

Oh... it's beginning to look (and feel) a lot like fall.  Bah.  Humbug!  is all I can say.  It has been a wet and grey day today and the high winds and rain have made a lot of the leaves drop.

I sat in my office today and watched probably 2000 blackbirds cross over the house on their migration south.  I think they had been hanging around in the hopes that the warm weather we have been experiencing would stay around.  However, this morning was a wakeup call for them to finally get a move on.

The Junco's - always the arbiter of winter - have been with us for a couple of weeks already and I do enjoy watching them flitting around along the lower branches and amongst the grasses settling themselves down for winter.  The great migrations never cease to amaze me.  Mind you, one of these days I think I am going to get to the point where I do the migration south, too :-)

I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

Great card Jaydee! That owl is really something with his yellow eyes!! I bet this is a really fun card in person with the pretty sequins inside shaking about.

Jaydee

Beth, so pleased you liked the card. The stamp set is from Fun Stampers Journey
and is called Fright Night. Product Number AT-0148. If you are interested, I made another card with it for a challenge a week or so ago. You can see that one here http://www.jaydeestamping.com/weblog/2015/10/fright-night-for-paper-players-265-.html. For that card I also used the cobweb stamp from Fun Stampers Journey called Widow's Web Item number SS-0222. If you have any more questions on the products, please just send me an email and I'll be happy to help you
