Lola's Butterfly for As You See It Challenge
21 October 2015
Hi Everyone.
Quick post for you tonight. I wanted to share another card I made for Lola as part of Lola's Challenge week at As You See It.
You can read all about Lola and why we are creating cards for her on the challenge site. Here's the challenge badge:
Yesterday I shared with you the Fairy Card I had created and tonight I wanted to share with you the butterfly card. It's pink and glittery and fluttery :-)
The butterfly is so pretty in person - but doesn't really show up on the photos. Here's a close-up shot for you:
The front of the butterfly is a clear sheet with printed butterflies. The back is pink glitter paste. So the glitter is nicely contained in a paste and doesn't rub off. It looks lovely behind the lines of the butterfly and has just enough "heft" that it stands proud from the page quite naturally. I added a couple of rhinestones that I colored with a copic marker and some Blushing Bride polka dot DSP from Stampin' Up! This card is also in a box winging its way to Cards for Hospitalized Kids.
On a personal note:
As a reminder - I announced the prize winners of our 2015 Cards for a Cause card drive. Don't forget to check out my post here.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card for you. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
Beautiful butterfly wings! Love your choice of paper, too. Thanks for your second entry to share with Lola at As You See It Challenges this week.

This is so lovely! May I ask where you got the clear plastic butterfly?

The butterfly is soooo pretty even on the photos! I can't imagine how beautiful it is in person!

OH! This butterfly is the bomb! Love the realness of it. And your layout! If you don't mind, I would love to use this as an inspiration for a sketch challenge. Thanks for playing (TWICE!) this week at AYSI and for lifting Lola and her spirits.

Hi Jaydee,
The butterfly is just soooo pretty and the rest of the card is too. I just love all the butterfly stamps and paper out there!
Always,
Marsha

Maggie, so pleased you liked the card :-) The butterfly is from a company called stamponit.com and they are Art Acetates. They come in different designs and you can check them out here. http://stamponit.net/products.php?keywords=butterfly&x=0&y=0
I used some Crystal Accents on the back of the butterfly and the covered it with pink glitter. It took forever to dry, but it was so worth it :-)
