Birthday Cake for Addicted to CAS #79

Hi Everyone

This is going to be a short post tonight as I am still trying to find a way to do blog posts quickly with only one hand and one thumb!  Ruth Ann, I can so relate :-)

Sometimes it pays to be ahead of the game and tonight is one of those nights.   I try to be ahead of the game with my challenge cards and I created this card in early December thinking that this challenge happened in December.  Luckily, it was this week.... so I managed to create  a card before this post was due!

It's our first Addicted to CAS challenge of 2016 and it is my pleasure to be the hostess and it's all about cake.  Now, that can be birthday cake, wedding cake, anniversary cake, Valentine's cake... whatever cake takes your fancy :-)

I used the Fun Stampers Journey Birthday Sketch stamp to create my card.

As it's the beginning of the month, it is also the first turn of our new Guest Designer.  She is the awesome winner of our challenge #76
Elizabeth Stewart

I hope you will check out her blog and welcome her to the team!

As usual, our awesome challenge owner Kylie has negotiated another fabulous prize for our challenge winner.  Our amazing sponsor is Stampolorations and there is a $10 voucher to the store on offer for our winner.

It's also the first challenge for some of our new design team.  I do hope you will visit our blog and check out the amazing designs from our design team.

Here's my card:

I stamped the image and then colored it with my Copics and did some card piecing with the cupcake holder!  I used another piece of DSP to ground the cupcake.  The fun part of this card is the Black twine that I used as the stalk of the cherry!

I still don't have the ability to create... grrrrrrrr... but I have taken some photos, so will be back tomorrow to share a couple of photographs of our winter wonderland!

In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
