Christmas Melody for Merry Monday
Be Joyful for Addicted to CAS #78

Joy & Love

Hi Everyone.  Happy Tuesday.

I have a quick post for you tonight.  I promised to share another image from the Christmas Melody set - an image that accompanies the chickadee one from the card I shared in this post as well as the stocking from this post.

I really love the images from this set and they are such fun to color.  Well... fun and relaxing :-)    I love them for clean and simple cards.  The images are so rich that they stand alone amongst a sea of white.  However, if you prefer more colors and more texture and even some DSP - or even vintage - the images are so flexible that they will stand their own in just about any style.

I began by die cutting a rectangle from my rectangle dies and then stamping the image in Mememnto Black.  I then took out my Copic markers and set about coloring the image.

Once the image was colored, and I had stamped the sentiment, I mounted the focal panel onto fun foam and the card was ready.  Here's my finished card:

Candles joy & love (1 of 1)

I love the rich colors against the Vanilla card base, but am thinking that if I went for a blue and silver on white... it would look fabulous, too.  I think I might have to try that!

On a personal note:

Well, it was a little hard to go back to work today and I must admit it took me a couple of hours to get my mind "back in the game"!  There is something about sitting at your desk and looking out at a wetland full of snow to make you want to curl up with a good book - or a good stamp :-) - and do something other than earn a living :-)

The world sure does look pretty but, because we have had a much warmer than normal winter, we are expecting temps in the 40s this weekend, so all the snow will melt.  This means that we will be experiencing temps well about 10 degrees warmer than normal!   I really hope we have snow on the ground for Christmas.  It just doesn't feel the same if there isn't snow on the ground.

I'll be back with another card tomorrow.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Beautiful and lovely card. Was thinking the same thing on how pretty this would be in blue and silver and easy enough card to mass produce.
Have an enjoyable day and a fun and relaxing weekend.
