Oh, Christmas Tree for Paper Players #274

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.  I hope you are all having a great weekend.

It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great theme challenge for us:

Considering we had 8 inches of snow last weekend (ignoring the fact that it is all melting!) it is an ideal theme for this week!

I really wanted to do something clean and simple - and sparkly!  Just like freshly fallen snow.   There really is something totally magical about that first fall of fresh snow.  The world falls quiet and the snowflakes sparkle in the lamplight.  It was magical for me as a child, and it is magical still!

So, I began with white card stock and some silver glimmer paper.  I used a die that I purchased last year from Simon Says Stamp called Banded Tree.   I die-cut the front panel with my rectangles stitched die and then ran that piece through my Big Shot again with the Banded Tree die.  I mounted that on foam tape to a piece of silver glimmer paper and added the sentiment and a red star sequin.

Here's my card:

Banded Tree

I wish I could have captured how pretty this is in real life.  The white with the silver glimmer is so pretty!

I hope you will join us this week and, if you are looking for some fabulous inspiration, check out the gorgeous creations from our design team:

I'll be back tomorrow with another card for you.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs
Jaydee

Gorgeous card, Jaydee! I love all that silver sparkle and the use of negative space. Eight inches of snow? Eek!!!

Absolutely perfect, Jaydee! I love this banded tree and the sparkling silver and white is so serene and peaceful. Though we are in FL now, I still have a childhood fondness for that first, sparkling blanket of snow. Your card evokes that perfectly. Love it!

Pretty, pretty, pretty! I always save all my little itty bitty glimmer paper scraps, I am sure I could create a little tree like this too!

Oh my Jaydee, this card absolutely sparkles like the first snowfall - it is so very pretty! The little red 3D sequin star adds just the right amount of colour and dimension to add interest without detracting from that amazing tree!
