Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great sketch for us: I love the fact that this sketch allows you to use up some great DSPs and I used the new Simon Says Stamp card kit for my card. Instead of the circles, I chose to use a cluster of Peeps from the accompanying stamp set. Oh... and yes... I made a PINK card! I rarely make PINK cards - and have made two in the last month! Here's my card: Aren't those papers fabulous? I... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday. I hope you are all having a great start to your week. I am still thinking about Spring and Sunshine and beaches and warm weather.... but, as it snowed this morning, I guess we aren't quite ready for it in Minnesota :-) However, I did want to share a beach inspired card with you today. I really do love this Sea Side Treasures set. I love the realism of the images. It was one of "those" stamp sets that I felt I had to have the minute that I saw it. I started with a watercolor... Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a very creative challenge for us: Well... there are SO many places you can go with this challenge, but I decided to go with a literal interpretation of the photo. This year I really have been trying to use up my old materials - and that includes DSP that is sitting in my stash... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday. I hope you all had a great week. I certainly did - and the feeling of Spring in the air made it even better :-) Talking of Spring - that's what inspired my card for Barb's challenge at Addicted to CAS this week. Barb has a great code word for us: It's also the challenge where we welcome our guest designer Beate Rauer of Stampelomis Bastelkeller. I hope you will drop by her blog and check out her fabulous card for our challenge. When I saw the challenge, I knew it was about time I pulled... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a wonderful color combo: This isn't a color scheme that I would have generally put together, but I love it. In fact, I made three different cards with it. But, for the Paper Players challenge card, I pulled out a stamp that Lou bought me when he was down in Australia and I absolutely love it. My initial inclination with these sorts of stamps is to go with realistic colors, but I realized how freeing it was - and how... Read more →
