Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday. I hope you are all having a great start to your week.
I am still thinking about Spring and Sunshine and beaches and warm weather.... but, as it snowed this morning, I guess we aren't quite ready for it in Minnesota :-)
However, I did want to share a beach inspired card with you today. I really do love this Sea Side Treasures set. I love the realism of the images. It was one of "those" stamp sets that I felt I had to have the minute that I saw it.
I started with a watercolor wash using a mop brush. I wanted a fairly opaque background, so I didn't water it down too much. I also added some Perfect Pearls to the water so that it gives a little shimmer to the water.
Once I had the background where I wanted it, I stamped the images using a darker blue. I love the way the blues and the white play off each other.
Here's my card:
On a personal note:
As you have been enjoying my bird photos so much, I thought you might enjoy this one - I love it when the camera captures a bird in flight. Take a look at the right hand side of the photo.
The female goldfinch looks as though she is suspended in mid-air like a Christmas ornament on a tree! I didn't realize I had captured it until I uploaded my photographs and reviewed them! I love it when that happens.
As I am out of town on business, I might not get to do another post until Friday. I will try and sneak one in on Thursday :-) In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Your card is so pretty; simple and yet a card that can be used for female or used as a masculine card.
Jaydee, I apologize for not commenting lately. My aunt(more like a mother to me) will be celebrating her 100th birthday on the 29th of this month and isn't doing well at all. She had a stoke the end of Jan. and has been in the hospital of which she now has pneumonia and the past couple weeks has been in hospice care. Family hopes and prays that she makes it to her 100th birthday come Monday as she was so looking forward to it. She lives in Iowa and I think my heart stops a beat or 2 every time the phone rings.
Have a wonderful day along with an enjoyable weekend
(sorry for laying out my feelings here)
