Gift for Addicted to CAS
05 March 2016
Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday.
I hope you are having a great start to your weekend.
It's the fabulous Deepti's turn to host our Addicted to CAS Challenge this week and she has a great word for us:
And... talking about gifts; our sponsor for this challenge is giving away a $10 gift voucher for the winner of our challenge.
I made this card to send to a friend of mine who has just been diagnosed with Cervical Cancer and began chemotherapy this week.
I do hope you will join us on our challenge this week and, if you are looking for some inspiration, just check out the amazing creations from our design team - and the great card from our guest designer - Toni Maddox.
On a personal note:
Kelly - you have asked me a couple of questions and I wanted to answer them here for you. Firstly, you asked me what camera I am using these days. Last year I had to buy a new camera as my old one really had gone kaput. I finally settled on this Sony Cybershot Camera. The zoom is great for me - although it is sometimes very hard to get a crisp, clear image with the zoom and I'm not always happy with the aperture settings. BUT... as an everyday camera it works really well for me and has helped me get some pretty cool shots of animals and birds that I would not have been able to capture with my old camera. I decided on the kit as it gave me extra batteries, memory card, etc. for just $10 more than other vendors were selling the camera for!
Then.. you asked me which tag I used on this card. The tag is from My Favorite Things Pierced Traditional Tag die. Like you, I am impressed with the smaller edging - it makes a nice change from the usual stitching.
Lou got back from Italy today. When he left last week it was 63 degrees. He arrived home to a snowstorm! This morning I was bemoaning the fact that the wetland looked all brown and the snow had gone. A couple of hours later I looked up from the presentation I was working on to find that it was bucketing it down with snow. I'll share some photos with you tomorrow.
In the meantime, I thought you might want to see a photo of this lot!
Yep.. . I know... I just can't get enough of these little guys!
and... I can never get enough of these guys either!
Don't they have the most amazing faces? I love them. Also... you can see how they will blend in with the longer grasses in the wetland.
I'll be back with my Paper Players card tomorrow. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight. Colleen, you and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
Hugs
Jaydee
