Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday.
When I saw the challenge across at Just Us Girls I knew that I had an old stamp set that fit the challenge and I made it for a friend who needs a little pick me up right now.
Here's the challenge:
As soon as I saw leap year... I went straight to my Skipping Stones stamp set and stamped the frog onto x-press card stock and went to coloring him with my Copic markers. I really had such fun coloring him. I wanted to keep it really clean and simple and stamped the sentiment in black onto the middle of the card base. However... I decided it needed a little more for the outside and fussy cut the frog and mounted it on to a wobble spring. Oh... now that was what it needed. BUT... he still needed a lily pad - so I found a piece of green DSP and sketched out a lily pad shaped and added some shading with Copics.
Here's the outside of the card:
Now... it's a great outside.... but I'm guessing you want to know what the inside of the card says?
BUT... He's lost and won't ask for directions!
Now... I don't know about y'all, but Lou will not ask for directions when he's lost :-)
On a personal note:
For those of you who enjoy my bird photos - he's a shot of a Nuthatch for you. I love this photo.
Colleen, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family tonight. Your aunt really must have been an amazing woman.
I'll be back with another card and photo tomorrow.
