Sending a little Sunshine for Paper Players # 285

Hi Everyone.

It's the fabulous Sandy's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a theme for us.

There were so many ways to go with this theme, but, considering the dull, grey, windy days we have been having - I decided Sunshine was the way to go :-)   Terri..... like you.... I am SO ready for Spring!

I began with my Tim Holtz stencil and three colors of Ranger inks and blended them together over the stencil.  I used my WPlus9 Sending Sunshine stamps and die-cut for the sentiment.   All that was left was to add a few bright yellow (even though some of them look green in the photo!!!) sequins and some gold Wink of Stella glitter pen on the Sunshine cut out.

Here's my card:
Sunshine (1 of 1)-3

So.. "sunshiney" enough do you think?   I was pretty pleased with how it turned out.

I hope you will join us and play along with us this week.  If you are looking for some inspiration, check out the wonderful creations from our very talented design team:

On a personal note:

Lou and I were out and about this weekend.  He got back from Italy mid-afternoon Friday and we went off to a local Jazz club down town on Friday night to listen to the great Aaron Neville.  It was fabulous to sit and have a glass of wine and hear the sounds of his soulful voice fill the club.  Great night!

Yesterday we decided to catch a matinee movie and went to see the feel good "Eddie the Eagle".  Such a fun, uplifting couple of hours in our local movie theater, which has recliner seats!  I remember the Olympic games with Eddie "the Eagle" Edwards and the Jamaican Bobsled team.  At the time I remember thinking how fabulous it was that athletes from countries that don't generally do well at winter sports competed and it was great to relive that.   Mind you, it wasn't hard on the eyes spending some time watching Hugh Jackman, either!

Today the temps are supposed to reach 60 - almost 20 degrees higher than normal.  Looking at the weather now, we might have some sunshine, but it looks cold and windy out there.  But, at least the snow that fell all day Friday has melted!

Seeing as you have been enjoying my nature shots - how about another one? :-)

Downy (1 of 1)-2

I just LOVE the texture on the bark - it's just perfect.   And, of course, I can NEVER get enough of the woodpeckers that share our woodland.  They really are the most amazing characters and I love that we get to experience them at their level.  We had them in our old house, but we only experienced them at the feeders.  here, we get to see them go about their day and it brings me so much joy.

I'll be back with another card for you tomorrow.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs
Jaydee
