Plaid Latte for Addicted to CAS # 86

 Hi Everyone.  Happy Saturday.

I have a quick post for you tonight.  It's the fabulous Anja's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge and she has a great code word for us.  As a member of the McDonald clan (on my mother's side) this code word has a great amount of meaning for me :-)

Isn't that a fun codeword?  I think so :-)

If you choose to play along with us this week and are lucky enough to be chosen as our winner, our fabulous sponsor - createasmile has a great prize.

Our design team have created some fabulous inspiration cards for you - including our guest designer Shona Chambers

I decided to create a plaid mug and celebrate friendship.  For my card I stamped the cup image onto a piece of 6x6 DSP that came in an old Simon Says Stamp card kit.  I then fussy cut around it and mounted it over the cup that I stamped onto my card base.  I covered the "coffee" area of the mug with brown copic markers and then coated it with Glossy Accents.  All that was left to do was to stamp the sentiment onto the card base.   But... it was missing one important thing:-)  I stamped the steam onto some vellum and heat set it with white embossing powder.  I fussy cut around the steam and mounted it onto the card base using some Ranger Multi Matte Medium.

I'll be back with another card tomorrow - and some more photographs.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Now that is one 'hot' card.
Like the simplicity of it and that 'steam' really adds to it.

Have a great evening and a wonderful weekend

Jaydee, what can be better than using a plaid paper for solid die cuts? You know, what I like the most? Vellum steam you added to your card, it makes the card "alive"
