Enchanted Garden for Matchthesketch and Color Throwdown

Hi Everyone.  Happy Monday.

I saw a great sketch at Match the Sketch this week - it's a really unusual sketch and I was excited to use it and then I saw this striking color combo at Color Throwdown and knew that they would be a great pairing.

Here are the challenges:

I began by stamping some of the flowers from the Enchanted Garden set and coloring them with Copic markers and then fussy cutting them.  I took a piece of Crushed Curry card stock and ran it through my Big Shot with a brick wall embossing folder.  I wanted it to feel as though the flowers were climbing up against a wall.
I then stamped the leaves twice onto a piece of white card stock, colored them with Copic markers and then fussy cut the right hand side of it.   I stamped the sentiment in Denim Days ink and then adhered the white layer to the Crushed Curry layer with fun foam.  All that was left was to adhere the flowers and give them a layer of Wink of Stella and Crystal Effects in the middle of the flowers to give a little sheen.
Here's my card:

On a personal note:
Well, today was a little warmer and free of rain.  Unfortunately I didn't get any time to spend outside, but did manage 5 minutes on the deck at lunch time and it was wonderful to feel the warmth of the sun on my skin.
I wanted to share a photo I took whilst I was out on the deck.  Our little woodpeckers are still so active outside.

I'll be back with another card tomorrow.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
