Hi Everyone.
FINALLY! Or as Lou would say - finalmente! What a frustrating couple of days. Thank you to those of you who initially alerted me to the fact that my blog had gone AWOL. It took some time to track down the technical issues - but all should now be resolved and jaydeestamping.com is back in action!
I write this blog post from the comfort of our screened in porch. The temp is 78 degrees, the humidity is low. The grass is almost fully green and all the tree are sprouting leaves. It sure is gorgeous. These are the days that I long for. The cats are all out here with me even though they really want their dinner, lounging around and rolling in the sun is much more interesting right now.
Chester is blissfully happy!
Here's what I'm looking at:
I am listening to the calls of the Cardinal, the Mourning Dove and a cacophony of other bird songs. It truly is wonderful.
I also have a card for you tonight. One that I made based on the sketch and colors across at Fusion
All of my regular blog followers will know that I would have been very attracted to the little hummer. Ours haven't arrived back yet and aren't due for another few weeks, but I am looking forward to their return.
I joined the new onlinecardclasses Clear and Sheer class. I didn't learn a lot in the class but it did reinvigorate my use of vellum! Dawn Woleslagle's vellum card for the class is an absolute masterpiece and was worth the admission fee alone! Absolutely gorgeous.
Anyway, here's the card that I was inspired to create:
I took a piece of vellum and used my stencil and embossing powder to create some texture on the vellum. I then sprinkled the vellum with Distress Glitter and allowed it to dry. The embossing paste allowed me areas to add some Multie Medium Matte behind them to secure the vellum. I could also hide some behind the tag and flower/leaves.
I stamped the leaves from the Sugar Pea Enchanted Garden set twice and colored them with Copic Markers. I did the same with the flowers. I then fussy cut around all of the elements and stamped the sentiment from the All About You set from Casual Fridays. I added Wink of Stella to the Flowers and some Crystal Effects to the middle of the flowers. I thought about adding sequins but decided against it because there was so much texture on the background.
Well, as my blog is now working again - I will be back with another card tomorrow. In the meantime warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight
Hugs
Jaydee

Whew, glad you're back. I can breathe again, thought it was MY ancient dinosaur of a computer acting up and causing problems. I really look forward to seeing your beautiful cards and your spectacular wetlands. You have no idea how much joy and pleasure I get from your blog. I know I don't post a comment often but just wanted to say thanks for always sharing with us.

gorgeous card---AND the view from your porch. My porch is not screened, but I have similar bird song and my furbaby is a little brown dog, but I love my "kingdom" as much as you obviously love yours. Isn't our God awesome? Thanks for sharing your world.

I love everything about this card from the background to the beautiful bright colorful flowers and sweet tag. Thanks for the tips on how you made it. I learn new things all the time. The trick is to remember them when I'm making cards! ha! Glad you're back up and running again. Tech problems are so frustrating. Have a great weekend.

Wow, your background is stunning, Jaydee. Never thought to sprinkle glitter over embossing paste. Must give it a try.

Welcome back my dear. Nice to see you up and running again.
The wetlands sure is turning nice and green and before long you will be seeing some beautiful flowers in bloom.
Chester; looks so uncomfortable but enjoying that warm sunshine.
Jaydee, love the beauty of your card. Great job
Enjoy your day along with the remainder of the week.
Wishing all the mother's out there a Very Happy Early Mother's Day.
(oh, seen our Roadrunner again yesterday) He sure is hanging around a lot. Not the first Roadrunner I have seen but it's the first I have seen in the 15 plus year we have lived here.
