Birds on a wire for Addicted to CAS #91
25 June 2016
Hi Everyone.
Quick post for you tonight. It's our 91st challenge across at Addicted to CAS and it's my pleasure to host. The code word I chose is this - and a very appropriate one for those of you who visit my blog often!
Once again we have a fabulous prize for our winner from our wonderful sponsor Create A Smile.
We also welcome our guest designer, Gemma. Gemma not only makes wonder CAS cards, but she also has the coolest sounding blog name. I hope you will pop along and check it out.
For my card, I used a Peny Black stamp and inked it up with my Zig markers. I had tremendous fun - there was almost something zen about it as it took a while to get the different colors on so many different areas of the stamp. Once the colors were on the stamp, I very lightly spritzed it with water - just enough to give it a watercolor effect - without being too diffused.
I hope you will join us and play along this week If you are looking for some inspiration, you have to look no further than the designs from our amazing design team.
On a personal note:
The injections, brace and work on my left hand are certainly helping. I have more movement in my hand that I had before, so I am going to try some actual stamping this weekend. I've really missed the time spent in my craft room relaxing and just switching off. With the temps nearing 100 degrees with high levels of humidity - taking time in the coolness of my craft room is about the only place I want to be!
Before I go - a couple of photos for you:
I have no idea why... but I often seem to catch the most ridiculous photos of these guys. They really are such characters!
When I am on the deck taking photos, my little velcro cat - Charlie, sits on a chair in the kitchen just inside the door waiting for me to come back. Isn't he cute? He's the same color as the woodpecker, too!
My Mom always used to look at the sky and say "red sky at night -shepherds delight. Red sky in the morning - Sailor's warning". I took that to mean that red sunrises forecast storms. Well, I woke up at about 4.30 the other morning and opened my eyes. I was greeted by the most incredible sky. About 30 minutes later we had a massive storm with high winds and torrential rain. But it sure looked amazing when I woke up. I only had my iPhone to take the photo and it didn't capture the intensity of color - but, even so - it's pretty amazing!
I'll be back with my Paper Players card tomorrow. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
