Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
It's a major milestone at the Paper Players this week. We are celebrating our 300th challenge and it is absolutely my pleasure to host this challenge. I still can't believe that we have been creating cards for 300 weeks. I still remember the day that Lesley invited me to become a founding member of the Paper Players. I was thrilled to accept - and am thrilled to still be part of such a talented and amazing group of ladies.
So, of course, I had to choose a fitting theme for our 300th challenge.
To help celebrate this amazing occasion we have blog candy to give away, and lots of it! The team has assembled not one, not two, but ten grab bags full of stamping goodness! To be eligible to win one, all you need to do is play along with our challenge this week. You can play as many times as you like, but each needs to be a new project (no back linking, please) and see The Paper Players blog for our other challenge rules. Winners will be selected from all PP300 challenge participants using Random.org and will be posted on Saturday, June 25. Want to know what the blog candy is that our Paper Players are giving away? Well, some of our Players have decided to keep it a secret and some are sharing a little view. Me? I'll be sharing a little sneak peek later this week.
In the meantime, here's my celebratory card and, of course, I had to make a shaker card:
I used an old Simon Says Stamp stamp set that I got as part of a kit sometime last year called Sparkle and Shine
I began by die cutting a circle out of a piece of card stock and two layers of fun foam. I then stamped the stitched circle around the die cut using gold embossing ink and heat set it with gold embossing powder. I stamped the Sparkle and Shine sentiment onto a piece of heat resistant acetate and added some gold stars to the inside of the circle as my shaker elements.
I do hope you will play along with us this week to help us celebrate - and put yourself in the running for one of the 10 surprise blog candy grab bags that our design team have donated.
If you are looking for some inspiration for our Paper Players challenge - you have to look no further than our amazing design team - and our returning founding Player - Ann :-)
In addition to the blog candy, I will be sending the card below to one lucky person who comments on this post. I haven't been able to do much cutting and stamping over the last week, but was able to make a couple of cards from a card kit - very much outside of my comfort zone - but such fun. I created a Celebration card - here's the front of the card:
Nice? Yeah... but it's the inside that is so special. What's so special about it? Well it's a pop up. I used to love pop up cards as a kid. They fascinated me - and, they still do. :-) So, I made this one to send to one special special person who comments on my blog. All you need to do to be in the running to win this pop-up card, is leave me a message. I will then randomly choose the winner and send it along to them.
I'll be back with another card tomorrow - and some nature photos. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Oh, I love this Jaydee! The stitched circle embossed is fabulous but I adore how you embossed the sentiment on the window sheet--brilliant. You might be surprised to know that it was through you that I found the PP--check out http://nanceleedy.blogspot.com/2010/06/spotlight-gala.html. It was serendipitous that we would be celebrating PP300 together, my friend!

I too love your gold and white card! It must have been difficult what with your poor hand. I do hope it is getting better. Fun to see you trying something so different for your pop-up card. We followers would have never thought it was by you. teehee

Thanks for hosting this fabulous challenge, Jaydee! I can't beleive you've been around for 300 challenges, wow! Love the card you made to celebrate. That sentiment is awesome, as is the shaker. The pop-up card is super cute, also. Hugs :)

Jaydee - love your cards!! I too like pop-up cards.......it's exciting to see what is inside & how it works!! I hope things go well with your hand......it's still amazing that a CAT can do so much "damage"!! We too had a large cat (19#'s), Hampton. He has now gone on to better things but we have a new little critter that is so full of energy......hope we don't have a "meeting" like you did!! Love all your nature pics as well......keep them coming! Thanks for an opportunity to win some of your beautiful cards. Karen
