Poppies... Just Because

Hi Everyone.  Happy Tuesday. 

Quick post for you tonight.  I did manage to make a couple of cards this weekend.  It's slow going... but enjoyable!  I saw this great sketch across at Casethissketch

 

I liked the sketch so much that I made two entirely different cards with it and will be sharing both of them with you this week.  Tonight's card showcases a Technique Tuesday poppy stamp.  I stamped this onto Neenah cardstock and used my Copic markers to color and add shading.  I love the bold look of the poppies stamped in the corner and also love the type font of the sentiment.

Of course, I had to add a little shimmer and shine and did that with my Wink of Stella pen on the poppies.  Here's a closeup:

 

On a personal note:

 

Well, it might have been 100 degrees with 25mph winds this weekend, but today was perfect weather.  So perfect, in fact, that I decided to park myself outside in the screened in porch and worked from there all day.  It was amazing to be able to sit and watch the birds and the animals go about their day.  They completely ignored me.  It did mean that I missed the comings and going at the jelly feeder thought - as all of that took place above my head :-)

 

This weekend we were visited by a couple of Crane's though.  You can see how high the grasses are in our wetland this year by how the Crane is surrounded by them.

These poppies are gorgeous! The card looks almost florescent(iridescent, not sure which word appropriately describes this, maybe a combination of both?), I wanted to tell you that I do not know where you live, but it looks like just the most amazing placed! I am SO.... happy to see that you look like you absolutely realize how blessed you are to live there, and how much you seem to totally appreciate it and enjoy it, as is evident in your amazing pictures! Thanks for sharing both!

Love the shimmer and shine you added to your beautiful poppies. Little bit of sparkle adds a nice touch.
We reached 99 deg. but come next week, will be in the triple digit :{
So hot outside that we could use our mailbox as a toaster oven :}
