Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a Tic-Tac-Toe for us. Once I had made my mind up to go left and vertical: beach, texture and enamel dots, I needed sketch. So I went to casethissketch and saw this great sketch: Once I knew I was going with a beach theme, I pulled out an old Simon Says Stamp card kit stamp set and decided to have fun with some DSP and flip-flops. The texture part of the card came from some woodgrain card stock that I... Read more →
Hi everyone. Happy Monday. Well, I did get to spend some time in my craft room yesterday - a good place to escape the heat and humidity! I played along with the Match the Sketch challenge I decided to have some fun with the vertical layer and make it look as though my hibiscus flower was nestling among a creeper :-) However, I decided I needed a little color inspiration - and got that from the Color Throwdown website. Hi Everyone. It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great sketch for us: I was really inspired by this sketch. Hi Everyone. Happy Friday. Quick post for you tonight. It's the very talented Bhavanna's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and she has a great code word for us: I knew that there were several ways I could go with this challenge; welcome baby; welcome to the neighborhood... but I decided on a welcome... home card. Lou travels so much, so I thought a little welcome home card would be ... well... welcome! I started off by diecutting a piece of Recollections 110# cardstock with the My Favorite Things die. Normally I use this for a... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday. Hope you are all having a great start to your week. I wanted to share a quick post with you tonight. I made another two cards using the Kuretake Starry Colors watercolor paints that I first showcased on my Paper Players card on Sunday. I used the same dragonfly stamp but this time used the gold paint for the dragonfly and kept the rest of the card really simple. I used normal card stock as the paints require very little water. Here's my card: I am really in love with these paints and can't wait to... Read more →
