Artsy Leaves for Addicted to CAS Challenge # 94

Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday.

It's the fabulous Doni's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and she has a great code word for us:

I had a new stamp set called Artsy Leaves and realized that this was a great set for this challenge as the leaves are just silhouettes.  I decided to go with a more masculine and neutral color scheme.   I used three different shades of warm gray for the colors on a soft gray background and used a pop of teal/turquoise for the sentiment.  I love the soft color scheme, but realized it needed just a little something-something :-)  So I pulled out my Pico embellisher and added a few white dots into the negative spaces created in some of the leaf silhouettes.

Herre's my card:

Atcas silhouette (1 of 1)

Even though this has a more masculine feel, I do think it could work for females who like graphical CAS designs.  Just like someone I know... errrr... me :-)

If you are looking for some inspiration, you have to look no further than the wonderful cards of our design team.

On a personal note:

I have a couple of photos to share with you tonight, including this shot of an amazing butterfly.  When I saw the underside of his wings he looked just like bark... I could understand how well he would be camouflaged in a normal environment.  He did stand out on the rotting orange, but he was amazing.

Camoflage (1 of 1)

Seriously.... does that look like a butterfly?  If you had seen him against a tree... you really would have found it difficult to identify him.   Amazing.

Of course, I can't help but share a photo of the this......

Monarch (1 of 1)-5

I'll be back tomorrow with another card - and some more photographs.  In the meantime warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight, including my Pammie.

Hugs

Awesome card for male or female.
'tree bark' butterfly; very unusual. Never seen one like it. Really neat looking. Other butterfly photo is just as lovely. Thanks for sharing.

Great card, Jaydee! I think it is unisex :) (But okay, you know, I am not into very cute cards ;) Love how you played with different grey tones for leaves!
