Le Cafe for Paper Players #309
21 August 2016
Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Sandy's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a CAS theme challenge for us:
Something sweet had me flummoxed for a little while as I don't have a lot of "sweet" themed stamp sets. I thought I could cover it in a sentiment like "you are so sweet"... but realized I had a coffee themed set from Fun Stampers Journey that included croissant and, as chocolate croissants are one of Lou's favorites, I realized that I could take the croissant stamp from that set and use it as my "sweet" element.
I took a piece of Recollections #110 card stock and stamped the croissant image with Crumb Cake ink and covered the entire piece of card stock. I then colored them with Copic markers. Once I had done that, I stamped the coffee pot image, fussy cut it (including around the inside of the handle) and covered the coffee pot with Crystal Accents to make it nice and shiny.
Here's a closeup of the shiny coffee pot:
Here's my card:
I hope you will play along with Sandy's sweet challenge this week! If you are looking for some inspiration, you have to look no further than our fabulous design team:
On a personal note:
Today's post is short as I am working today and that means I won't get into my craft room to do any crafting either! I'll leave you with a photo, though and be back on Tuesday.
My favorite little bird:
Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today, including my dearest Pammie.
Hugs
Jaydee
