Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. I hope you are all having a great weekend. It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a color challenge for us. These colors are perfect for back to school - but I wanted to go a different route and make an encouragement card instead and I dedicate this cute duo to my bestie - Pammie. Of course, I needed a sketch to go with the colors - and found it across at Freshly Made. I used some new goodies to make this card - one of them... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Friday. Quick post for you tonight. I have a card and a couple of photos for you :-) First - let's start with the card. The challenge across at Just Us Girls this week is a technique challenge: Considering I am on such a watercolor kick, how could I not participate in this challenge :-) I began with a piece of Canson watercolor paper and some white embossing powder. Stamping the flowers and leaves with Versamark and setting them with white embossing powder provides a great starting point for my Zig brush watercolor pens. I love these... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. It's the wonderful Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great theme for us: When I saw this challenge, I realized it was THE perfect opportunity to use my fabulous shimmery gold watercolor inks! I placed the Tim Holtz sunrise stencil vertically onto my card base and gently stamped the gold watercolor inks with a sponge. Whilst that was being left to dry, I worked on... Read more →

Hi Everyone Happy Friday. It's the fabulous Barb's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and she has a great word for us: I have no idea why I turned to Christmas when I read this code word, but I did :-) I began with some music dsp from Papertrey Ink and then stamped some PTI Mistletoe over the top. I needed to create some berries for the mistletoe and used my Pico Embellisher instead of enamel dots. I thought this would make a great festive thank you card. Here's my card: I hope you will join... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Thursday. I don't know about you all... but I am so looking forward to the weekend! One thing I also know... I seem to be obsessed with Altenew's stamps these days! I avoided them for so long because I thought they were too complicated... all those different layers. However, I have seen the error of my ways and a MISTI helps tremendously! The other thing I realized is that you don't have to stamp all of the layers - you can just use them as outline stamps - as I did for my card tonight. Before I... Read more →
