Butterfly Prints for Paper Players # 311
04 September 2016
Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
It's my turn to host the Paper Players challenge this week and I have a theme challenge for you.
Circles are such a versatile element. It could be a circular card, polka dots, oranges, the moon, the sun - there are so many circles in this world and they are all your oyster... well, technically I guess oysters aren't quite circular :-)
I decided to take it literally. I began by creating embossed circles as a base for my die-cut butterfly. I wanted to keep the card fairly clean and simple with just two colors. Lime green is one of my favorite colors - especially when it is paired with white.
Here's my card:
I mounted the embossed layer onto fun foam and then mounted the butterfly with matte medium down the middle of the body. Once that was dry, I used some dimensionals to lift the wings on either side. I love the pop of green against the white. :-)
I hope you will join our challenge this week. If you are looking for some inspiration, you have to look no further than the fabulous creations from our design team.
On a personal note:
I managed to get some time in my stamping space today - and I also managed to get some time to walk around the garden and take some photos. So.... I will have some photos of the flora and fauna that grace our little bit of paradise with you later this week.
I'll be back with another card tomorrow. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight - including my tinkerbell:-)
Hugs
Jaydee
