Hi Everyone. It is my absolutely pleasure to join the very talented team at Just Us Girls as guest designer for the month of October. I was absolutely thrilled when Vicki asked me if I would join the team as GD. How could I turn that invitation down :-) My first challenge with the team is a wonderful word challenge and I couldn't stop myself.... again..... I HAD to use watercolors for my card. I have this great new stamp from Penny Black and pulled out my Kuretake brush markers and got to work. I began with a piece of... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday. I have a fall card to share with you tonight. I used the fabulous inspiration photo from JustUsGirls and the really unusual sketch from Casethissketch The minute I saw the inspiration photo I thought it would work really well for the Altenew Spring Daisy stamp set. Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday. Hope you are all having a great week so far. I saw this great sketch across at casethissketch this week and knew that it would be a great way for me to use my new Winter Cardinal stamps. I decided to use the cardinal as my central element and then split the sentiment above and below the cardinal. This cardinal set is a lot of fun as it has so many layers. You could do some really funky fun colors - almost like a rainbow lorikeet-ever seen one of those? Not? Then check out this link.... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Monday. Quick post for you today. I saw this great color combo across at Just Us Girls this week and knew that I had to play along. I tend not to put strong colors together and knew that it would be a challenge for me to try to incorporate them all and not go overboard on one particular color. Which is my normal way of trying to handle color challenges that take me out of my comfort zone. When I see black, red and yellow together I always think of Mondrian and the Mary Quant Mondrian boots,... Read more →
