Stitched Poppies for Addicted to CAS

 Hi Everyone.  Happy Saturday.

It's the fabulous Ceal's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and she has a code word that is very close to my heart.   I mean.... how often do I not make a card with "stitches" on it :

If you are looking for some inspiration - check out the amazing creations from our design team - including our wonderful guest designer:  Guest Designer: Maria Tchotcheva

If you are the lucky winner of our challenge this week, we have a great prize from our sponsor this week a Five Euro gift voucher from:

I needed to create a birthday card and used  a new stitched rectangle die that I absolutely love.  I paired it with a couple of new stamp sets from Altenew - Poppies and Label Love.   Here's my card:

Stitched (1 of 1)-2

On a personal note:

The temps certainly dropped this week - down to 41 as a low.  All of our summer birds have already left  - really early!  I was speaking to someone who lives in the northern part of the state yesterday and they had frost up there this week and, even the geese have flown south.   Now... that is REALLY early!  So, we are all guessing that we are in for a long and cold winter.

Last night we had the most amazing storm and pure orange skies afterwards.  I went out to the front to take a photograph. This photograph is totally untouched - but looks as though it is in sepia.  The sky really was amazing.

Sepia garden (1 of 1)

This is what the garden normally looks like:

Non sepia garden (1 of 1)

What a difference!

When I took this particular photo of the Oriole - I had no idea that this would be the last photograph I would take as they had all disappeared - poof - gone - by the next morning.  I miss them immensely and can't wait for them to return to our garden in Spring.

Bottoms up (1 of 1)

I'll be back with my Paper Players card tomorrow.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight - including my bestie, Pammie.

Hugs

Jaydee

Friday evening was a Full Harvest Moon Eclipse.
Such a pretty card and what a great looking stitched die. Your card is like looking at a lovely painting.
Thanks for sharing you lovely photos.
Still having temperatures in the 90's here during the day.
Have an enjoyable and relaxing weekend. My hello to Lou as well.

Gorgeous stamping and color combo, Jaydee! I love your stitched panel, and that you chose hot pink for your stamped sentiment...stunning card!
Too bad your birds have left so early...I know they bring you so much joy! How amazing that you had such a special autumn sky, though...Thanks so much for sharing your fabulous photos with us :)

Another beautiful card - what else can one say! I love the die - could you share the source? I log your photo after the rain - stunning! Say it isn't so about winter ... Please!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful card Jaydee! Your new die shape is very unique and modern. I love how the flower fills it, so pretty.

Your photos are outstanding as always! That must have been an eerie sky after the storms.

What a sweet photo of the oriole! I've noticed a quick exit with some of our birdies too. My hummers are gone and I'm hoping to catch a few more from the North as they travel through. Someone at work was telling me our winter is supposed to be intense and I think the birds know it too. I'm always a little sad to see them leave even though new ones will take their place. ; )

I love your card in the beautiful fall colors. Great job. Your pictures are amazing. The sky was awesome after your storm. Have a great day!
