Express Yourself for Paper Players # 318

Hi Everyone.  happy Sunday.  It's my turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and I have a sketch for you.  It's a versatile sketch and our design team made some fabulous cards using this sketch.

I made two cards  - and really couldn't make up my mind which to go with.  I decided that this was was more unusual and decided that I would show you this one first.  I will share the other one with you later this week.

This card really was fun to create and the sentiment is perfect for me.  I am inspired by so many people and hope, that in some small way, I can inspire some of you.  Whether it's the card layout, colors, my nature photos - anything :-)

I began by stamping the sentiment on the circle and then set about creating the background.   The paintbrushes were not long enough - so I had to stamp them twice - once to ensure that I got the tops and then again to make sure the bottoms were in alignment and went beyond the circle.  I then had to create the paint marks at the top.  All that was left was to add some splatters and paint marks on the brushes.

Here's my card:

I hope this card inspires you to go and express yourself.  Whether it is in photography, poetry, cards, scrapbooks, interiors, gardens, cookery.... go do something that expresses who you are - the unique you that is unlike anyone else :-)

If you are looking for some amazing inspiration - you have to look no further than that from our design team:

On a personal note:

Today was a glorious late autumn day.  It was in the mid-60s - with almost no breeze.  The sun was shining, the leaves were glimmering - all round... just glorious.   We took a drive down to Stillwater, Mn.  a wonderful little town that is always buzzing.  It is nestled against the Wisconsin border separated by the beautiful St Croix river.  We visited our favorite wholefood co-op, bought some fabulous veggies and then I went into the local Cooks store to buy a couple of things for the kitchen.  The drive back was glorious with the later fall colors reaching their peak on the oaks around the area.  Some of the late maples were also putting on a wonderful display.   I even managed to sit outside under the deck for a little while watching the birds.  We won't get many more days like this, so it was my intention to enjoy every minute of it.

Lou really doesn't want to admit that these guys have arrived - but they certainly have.  I do so enjoy watching them flit around.  The white feathers on their tails really do stand out as they fly.

I'll be back with another card tomorrow.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight - including my dearest Tinkerbell, who continues to inspire me every day.

Hugs

Jaydee
