Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
My apologies, but this is going to be a very short post. I have a hardware failure on my iMac and it is where all of my photos - and photo editing software are stored. Luckily, I had primed this post prior to the hardware failure. I need to get hold of Apple tomorrow to see how long my Macbook will be out of commission.
In the meantime, here is the fabulous LeAnne's challenge for the Paper Players this week. As this is the 5th week of the month, it is a Tic Tac Toe challenge.
For my card, I went with the bottom row - pine, die-cut and ribbon. However, I really don't have much ribbon at all, so I used some silver cord - and hope that LeAnne will forgive me. :-)
I began by die-cutting a tag and then coloring it with Distress Inks. I waited until it was almost dry and added the Simon Says Stamp snow stencil and some embossing paste. I wanted a little glimmer and added some distress glitter to the slightly wet inked background - and the still wet snowflakes.
I die-cut the pine trees from an old Memory Box die and popped that up over the background. All that was left to do was to mount the tag, add the sentiment - and the silver twine.
Here's my car:
I love the clean and simple feel of the card and the little pink heart is very unusual for me, but I love it! :-) I hope you will play along with our challenge this week. If you are looking for some inspiration, you have to look no further than the creations from our amazing design team :-)
I'll be back as soon as I can get my MacBook fixed! grrrrr..... can't tell you how annoying this is! However, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight - including my dearest Tinkerbell.
Hugs
Jaydee

What a gorgeous little tag scene Jaydee - I adore the snowy sky and diecut, and agree that the pop of pink from the heart is unexpected but works really well. Lovely!

I love the "old" Country Landscape die and you've certainly used it beautifully. Your touch of snow flakes on the lovely blue backdrop are so real looking

Sorry to hear about your iMac problems. Miss not seeing your wildlife photos / nature pictures so hopefully it will get fixed soon. May not take as long as expected for them to fix the problem.
Such a pretty card and looks like a great Minn. blizzard with your snow. Love the texture it gives off as well. Like Laurie mentioned; "makes for a pretty, peaceful wintery scene."
Until next time; may You and Lou have an enjoyable evening.
