Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday. I am pleased to say that my Mac is back, all reconfigured and re-built and back in action - just in time for my Paper Players post!
It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge tonight and she has a word challenge for us:
I was tempted to go with a fall color scheme, but decided to buck the trend - and go with more summer colors. Is that because I am trying to hold on to summer? :-)
I stamped some of the Watercolor Wonders flowers onto a piece of Neenah Solar White card stock. Once I was happy with the cluster of flowers, I die-cut the "thanks" from the middle of the cluster. I decided to die-cut another "thanks" on unstamped Neenah Solar White and backed that with a couple of extra die-cuts, just to lift it from the base a little. I secured the "thanks" into the negative space and all that was left, was to add the remainder of the sentiment - and a little bit of shimmer from my noir glimmer pen. I also added a couple of clear "raindrops" and sequins as a little extra something-something!
Here's my card:

On a personal note:
It's good to have a working Mac. It's taken me quite a while to get everything back to where it should be as I found that my last backup was incomplete and had over-written my last full backup! So, many-many-many hours of trying to rebuild and get everything reloaded.
It's been a busy week in the garden - lots of activity. Our summer birds have all gone and our winter ones arrived. Mind you - the weather the last couple of days has been ridiculously warm. It's the 5th of November - and it is 71 degrees here today. It was in the high 60s yesterday and 70 on Wednesday. In my all my years of being in Minnesota, I have never seen this extended heat wave at this time of the year. In fact, I was on the porch yesterday and saw a mosquito! they are supposed to have been long gone by now!
We have also seen a lot of raptor activity in the garden the last couple of weeks - and saw this guy observing the world - and checking for food - from our deck rail!
He's an immature Cooper's Hawk and has been hanging around for the last couple of weeks. We have also had an adult Redtail and our Eagle Owl has returned. We've heard the owl several times in the last week and managed to see him in a tree right opposite our bedroom window last week.
I haven't managed to get into my craft room for the last two weeks, but am hoping to spend some quality time in there tomorrow. I will be back with another card tomorrow - and some more nature photos. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Jaydee I just love that watercolour flowered background - so soft, just beautiful! The diecut thanks really stands out in white against the flowers too - a lovely card.

Yay! Glad to hear that your Mac is back and working. Nothing more annoying that losing your computer like that. Love your card, its so spring like, just what I need right now. The Cooperhawk is awesome, my friends just had a Sparrowhawk in their garden, fully grown and he was magnificent. Clairex

Jaydee, first let me say how happy I am for you that your computer is back up and running properly! Always such a frustrating thing to have problems.
Your card is a breath of fresh air. I love the gorgeous colors and the beautiful flowers! Such a fabulous stamp set! You made me long for Summer days again! It is still warm in GA, but there is a touch of Fall in the air. Have a wonderful week, My Friend! XX

Hi Jaydee! Oh my, your card is breathtaking! Such a beautiful bouquet of flowers, soft and pretty.
Your Cooper's hawk is gorgeous. We have one that likes to visit on occasion. Our junco's have arrived as well, and I can say I'm not quite ready for colder weather. I just noticed them yesterday.
Wishing you a blessed Sunday!

Nice having you back Jaydee and your Mac all fixed up again
What a lovely card Jaydee. A beautiful array of color.
Now that is one brave bird showing it's face after chasing your Pileated Woodpeckers.
We have A lot of red tailed hawks here. Nothing unusual to see at least 1/2 doz. flying around up above. Most I have seen at one time was 13.
Have an enjoyable day. Now I need to go and change the time on all of our clocks and fall back 1 hour.
