Adore You for the Card Concept
18 April 2017
Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday.
Oh.... I couldn't wait to play along with the Card Concept challenge this weekend. Their inspiration photograph is just gorgeous
Isn't that gorgeous? For my card I was inspired by the blue vase, the white gyp and, of course, the butterflies!
I began with a Soft Sky base (what.... not using white!!!!!!) and repeatedly stamped one of the flowers from the Altenew Adore You stamp set onto the Soft Sky base with Versamark and heat set with puffy white embossing powder from Hero Arts.
I then colored the inside of the flowers with a white Prismacolor pencil. I wanted the feel of the bunch of white gyp - but still leave the blue that I was so drawn to with the vase.
The butterfly is a sticker that my bestie sent to me last year ... I love these butterflies and it was the perfect fit for the challenge. I then stamped the sentiment onto Neenah Solar White card stock and mounted it to the base and attached the butterfly.
Here's my take on the challenge:
On a personal note:
I wasn't able to get out and take any photographs of the wetland for you.... but... oh, I am so glad there is some green this way coming :-)
I do want to share the photograph of the storm over the wetland that I forgot to include in last night's post though :-) I really loved the look of the storm clouds and the muted colors - with the pop of green of the White Cedar. The sky looked so big and the trees so small :-) It really is a beautiful view - any time of the year - and we are so blessed to be able to look at it every day.
I'll be back with another card tomorrow - and will try and get outside between storms for you. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
