Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday.
Quick post for you tonight. It's the fabulous Bobby's turn to host our challenge this week and she has a very well timed code word for us:
We hope you will play along with us and, if you do, and are chosen as the winner our fabulous sponsor Create a Smile has a great prize for you:
We also have a new guest designer joining us this week - Chrissie Stokes and her card for this challenge is fabulous. Lots of wonderful texture but still clean and simple perfection. I hope you check it out.
As for me..... to be honest... I don't send out that many graduation cards, so I didn't have any appropriate stamps. However, I realized all I needed was my word processing software and a photo of a mortar board and they all came together to create a quick and easy card. The hardest part of the card was making the tassel!
Here's my card:
Clean and simple - but the addition of the gold tassel adds just a little bit of interest and color. I mounted the front panel on a piece of fun foam and added foam squares behind the mortar board. I used a needle to secure the thread of the tassel through a little tiny hole and secured it with a little tape.
I will be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card and some photos of our wildlife. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

What a great looking graduation card. Clean, simple, with such a great sentiment. Wonderful addition of the gold tassel.
A person could even make the tassel in the graduates schools colors

It looks like I challenge almost the entire team with this word, Jaydee. A lot of us didn't have traditional graduation stamps, including myself, but you overcame that obstacle big time. Sometimes computer generated sentiments are the best kind and say just what you want to say and that tassel sets of the mortarboard perfectly.

As always, your CAS design is gorgeous, Jaydee! I love how you created the pretty gold tassel and your wonky stitched border makes this card pop!

Great graduation card, Jaydee! I have printed out some sentiments in Word too from time to time. Sometimes you otherwise can't find just the right one. I am curious how you cut out the cap without a die. Just freehand snipping? Either way, awesome job!
