Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday.
It's the fabulous Anja's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge and she has a great code word for us this week
We hope you will play along with us. As usual we have a great prize for our winner:
For my card, I made the glasses dies and one of the sentiments from the stamp set as my focal point. To make the card a little more special, I heat embossed the sentiment in gold embossing powder and die-cut the glasses from vellum. I used my Copic marker to color the back of the vellum and mounted them with a little foam tape. Because the vellum has some strength, it made a great medium for the glasses.
Here's a closeup of the focal element:
I added another sentiment to the inside to finish off the card.
On a personal note:
Oh.... the weather outside is glorious! Still! Today Lou and I went for a drive and visited a nursery and drove back through the Rice Creek Water system of lakes. It was amazing. But... it was great to get back to our little paradise and look out over the wetland.
As I type this blog post, I am at the dinette table and watching the plethora of birds that are visiting the jelly feeder. In the last 10 minutes we have seen: the grey catbird; yellow bellied sapsucker; orioles; purple finch; downy woodpecker; rebellied woodpecker; redheaded woodpecker; a grackle (grrrrrr); the robin and even the hummingbird took a look to see whether there was anything worth while! Who would have thought a little organic jelly and an orange would generate so much activity :-) But, I am so glad that they do!
I didn't get to spend any time in my craft room today, but will be in there tomorrow. Before I go though, I wanted to leave you with a photo of one of our visitors. Neither Lou nor I can remember the robins every being at the jelly before. So, this is a first for us.
I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

I am so jealous of all the birds that you get at your feeder - and your comment on the grackle made me smile. We live in a newer development now so we don't get too many birds - but we did have some house finches nest in our front door wreath 😀
I love your card - the combo of pink and gold with that wonderful sentiment - perfection!!! Thanks so much for letting me join you as GD this week!

As always, your card is just beautiful, Jaydee! I love that you chose vellum for the wine glasses and your coloring is really perfect! Lovely contrast with the gold embossed sentiment, too!
How lovely that this beautiful robin visited your jelly! He/She is so striking and your photograph is fabulous! I always enjoy visiting your blog to see what you have to share with us...thanks, my friend!

Love that sentiment, Jaydee, and your vellum glasses of wine. I also love your bird photos. Watching them on my feeders is one of my great joys, although I don't have nearly the number you have.
