Reindeer and Birdie Birthday
Sending Sunshine for the Paper Players #354

Birthday Train for Addicted to CAS # 115

Hi Everyone.  Happy Saturday.

Our very talented and newest design team member is hosting our challenge this week and Kel has a great code word for us:

This leaves the field wide open - so often infact that I couldn't decide which of the two cards I made to showcase :-)  I ended up going with a little boy card - another one that is going off to Cards for Hospitalized Kids :-)  I had such fun stamping the elements and then doing a quick color using copic markers.

I do hope you will play along with us this week.  If you do, and you are chosen as the winner, you get to spend $15 dollars at Kylie's wonderful shop - Happy Little Stampers.

I decided to keep my card very clean and very simple.  Minimal stamping and just relied on the coloring.  This was very quick coloring and I don't think took me longer than 10 minutes - unusual for me :-)

Here's my card:

Traintracks (1 of 1)

This set is an old Papertrey Ink set and comes with the stamps and matching dies.  Keeping with the CAS theme, I decided to stamp onto the base and not to die cut and pop it up.   I couldn't make up my mind whether to back it with blue, turquoise or red, but the red really popped where the others didn't.

If you are looking for some inspiration, you have to look no further than our fabulous design team.  There really is an amazing variety of cards for you.  However, we can't wait to see what YOU do with this challenge.

On a personal note:

It was another glorious day here today.  Yesterday was in the mid 90s and it was very humid.  Overnight it dropped to the mid-60s.  That meant that there was fog in the wetland this morning - and, when I woke up before 6 - the wetland looked amazing.  Sadly, I only had my iphone and it doesn't do well in minimal light :-)

I'm hoping to get into my craft room tomorrow to play along with a couple of challenges.  I will be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

Absolutely adorable card, Jaydee! I love your CAS design and your coloring is just perfect! The children at Cards for Hospitalized Kids are going to love it, too :)

What a cute card for a boy's birthday. Love the "train" with packages. Great take on the challenge. Enjoy your day!

Just beautiful Jaydee! Lovely pops of color and perfect simple design!
We're having this kind of weather too and it makes it hard to sit on the patio. Ready for a bit of relief, hopefully coming on Monday!
Enjoy your Sunday!
