Peace on Earth for Paper Players # 369

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a theme challenge for us.

Well, this was perfect for me as my new Altenew set recently arrived and it contains..... pines :-)
I wanted to go with a fairly neutral color scheme to allow the globe ornament to stand out.  So, I went with a white, silver and blue color scheme.
I love the shape of the globe die-cut and I love the addition of the world map on the stamp.  Here's a closeup:

I used my Kuretake pens to add the blue to the embossed globe as they give a nice intense blue.
Here's my full card:

I cut around the embossed frame and mounted it to a piece of Stampin' Up! silver metallic card stock.  I mounted the pine branch and the ornament with foam dots and added a little bit of shimmer with the metallic thread bow.  As I wanted the globe to be the focal point, I muted the sentiment by embossing it in silver.
I hope you will play along with us this week.  As usual, if you are looking for some inspiration, you have to look no further than our fabulous design team creations:

On a personal note:

Well, we had snow again this week but, because the temp got to 41 the day after it snowed, all the white stuff melted.  Today is another cold and grey day and it makes me want to just curl up in front of a fire with a cup of something warm, a good book, a plaid blanket and my kittie on my lap :-)

I have tried crafting a couple of times this past week but my mojo has definitely gone walk-about.  I think Claire is right - maybe I need to just take a break and stop trying to force it.  I might not go visit my craft room today and not stress about it.  Maybe the fire and a good book are calling me :-)

If I do get into my craft room - and successfully make a card - I will share it with you during the week.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

That globe ornament is a stunner! You were so right to keep a neutral background for it. The blue you've chosen is just like an ocean - perfect! I'm happy to see that the map includes New Zealand - so often, we get sliced off! It's a super card, Jaydee,

Your globe ornament is delightful in these colors, and your sentiment is spot on! Great way to use the pine!! But that border is what has me mesmerized! It's beautiful!

Hi Jaydee! Love your serene card with all the embossing! The globe ornament is stunning!

A nice break is sometimes all we need to get our mojo back, I hope you did just that! It's a great time to let your mind rest and be open to something new if it comes along. Take care~

I love the border, also!!! Who makes it? Your card is stunning!!!

Absolutely beautiful card. That world ornament is stunning and so is the border - WOW! I'd also like to know what the border is! This is the first time I've seen your cards - but if this is what you do without your mojo, I can't wait to see what you make when your mojo is flowing. Thank you for sharing!

Embossed Card is so pretty Jaydee and love that embossed frame.
We had cooler temperatures here but not near as cold as what you are having.
Have an enjoyable weekend.

Jaydee, I am so sorry I didn't get to comment last week. I LOVE this card! It is beautiful! The silver embossed map with the blue background just pops! The elegant embossed frame is perfect to showcase this work of art. I don't think you have lost your mojo. LOL! Hope you found a good book to read and enjoyed a cup of tea. Sending you warm hugs in all that snow! XXX
