Stampin! with Jaydee

Well, this was perfect for me as my new Altenew set recently arrived and it contains..... pines :-)

 

I wanted to go with a fairly neutral color scheme to allow the globe ornament to stand out.  So, I went with a white, silver and blue color scheme.

 

I love the shape of the globe die-cut and I love the addition of the world map on the stamp.  Here's a closeup:

 

 

I used my Kuretake pens to add the blue to the embossed globe as they give a nice intense blue.

I cut around the embossed frame and mounted it to a piece of Stampin' Up! silver metallic card stock.  I mounted the pine branch and the ornament with foam dots and added a little bit of shimmer with the metallic thread bow.  As I wanted the globe to be the focal point, I muted the sentiment by embossing it in silver.

On a personal note:

Well, we had snow again this week but, because the temp got to 41 the day after it snowed, all the white stuff melted.  Today is another cold and grey day and it makes me want to just curl up in front of a fire with a cup of something warm, a good book, a plaid blanket and my kittie on my lap :-)

I have tried crafting a couple of times this past week but my mojo has definitely gone walk-about.  I think Claire is right - maybe I need to just take a break and stop trying to force it.  I might not go visit my craft room today and not stress about it.  Maybe the fire and a good book are calling me :-)

If I do get into my craft room - and successfully make a card - I will share it with you during the week.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
