Firstly, a very Happy New Year to all of you. Lou and I hope that 2018 brings you all the wonderful things you wish for you and your loved ones. Thank you for all of your support during 2017 - it has been very much appreciated :-)
I saw this great challenge across at Inkspirational and it really made me think :-)
Now, it has been a looooong while since I just stamped and didn't use dies or some such thing. I decided it was a perfect opportunity to make a one layer card and it was a great chance to make a card for Lou to thank him for our fabulous trip to the Caribbean. I also decided it was the perfect time for a little color - especially as our part of the world is so brown and white - with no color at all :-)
I used a stamp set from Altenew called "Splash of Color" and used three of the splash stamps and made a little rainbow of splashes and clustered them around the sentiment.
Here's my card:
The colors reminded me of the Caribbean where the Islands are full of beautiful flowers and bright sunshine with turquoise waters. I hope this card brings a little bit of color to your evening.
On a personal note:
Well... I spent some time in my craft room yesterday - and today...and made 8 cards in total. That's 8 more in two days than I made in the previous two months! It took some time to get back into the swing of things and I must admit that my arthritic hands certainly could feel that I had been crafting :-) But... it did feel good to get down there and just do something!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card and a couple of snow shots for you. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight - and once again, all very best wishes for 2018.
