Star Gazer for Paper Players #377

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great Clean and Simple theme for us

I wasn't sure what to do with this.... but then went looking through my old stamp sets and found a perfect set from Papertrey Ink called Star Gazer.   It fit beautifully with a piece of paper from the My Minds Eye paper pack called Hey, Mister!   It was the perfect backdrop to my focal element.

Here's my card:

This was such an easy card to put together.  I cut a piece of the paper to cover my base and then die-cut a rectangle and stamped my focal elements onto it.  I mounted it on fun foam and placed it on my card base.  The finishing touch was a blingy red star!

I hope you will join us for our challenge this week.  If you are looking for some inspiration, you have to look no further than our amazing design team

On a personal note:

Oh... it got to the 40s for the last couple of days.   JOY!!!!!  I know it won't last... but it was wonderful to experience it after the run of -20+ temps!

Even Charlie has been cold and looked to this wonderfully, warm, snuggly throw from Pottery Barn to help him keep warm on the back of the couch

Even the dove's have caught on to how to keep warm.  This is the heated bird bath.  they are not here for the water... they are here because the rim - and the stones - in the bath are warm!  Next time you are tempted to call someone birdbrain..... remember it might very well be a compliment:-)

Warming doves (1 of 1)

The doves are going to need to keep warm.... we are under a Winter Storm Watch with anything rom 6-12 inches of snow tomorrow......

I'll be back with another card and some more photos tomorrow.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
