Hi Everyone.
Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Nance's turn to host our Paper Players challenge and she has a clean and simple theme challenge for us:
As this is a clean and simple challenge, I wanted to make sure that I kept the elements to a minimum. So, how could I do that and still icnorporate a rainbow - one of the lessons from the In the Mood for Color, too :-)
I looked through my stamp sets and decided that florals just wouldn't cut the mustard! I then saw a set I have rarely used. It's a pity I haven't used it more often, because I love the idea of this set.
I took the Splatter Stencil and some Altenew inks and covered my Neenah Solar White card base with a wonderful rainbow of colors.
Here's a look at the stenciled background:
I then die-cut a tag and stamped the sentiment from Crafty friends in black and mounted that with some fun foam.
Here's my full card:
Of course, I had to decorate the inside.....
I thought the bright colors and sentiment would make a wonderful birthday card for one of my crafty friends:-)
If you are looking for some inspiration - you have to look no further than our amazing design team:
On a personal note:
Oh..... it got to 53 degrees here today! I cannot tell you how marvelous it felt to sit int eh sun on the porch and just feel warm. I swear I haven't felt warm since we were in the Caribbean for Christmas! It might have been 53 degrees, but the snow hasn't melted fully yet. However, we were blessed to hear the Cardinal and the Chickadee both singing their spring songs... it was glorious.
I'll be back at the end of the week with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Jaydee, I love this card inside and out! The splatters are a fabulous way to incorporate the rainbow theme! I do make a mess when I craft so, this card made me LOL! I know what you mean about warm sun. It was warm on Monday and I went out to read. Loved feeling the warmth on my face. Chilly again, but I know Spring will arrive SOON! Hope you are having a great week! XXX

This is by far the prettiest splattering I've ever seen, Jaydee! I love the bright colors, and the inside sentiment is amazing, I love it too! Glad it warmed up for you a little. It snowed over a foot here last night, and I must dig out my car shortly. I'm so done with winter!

You had me fooled, Jaydee. I was wondering what stamp set you'd used for your gorgeous splatters! It's a wonderful stencil and has made for a light, airy, clean card. Of course, the inside sentiment is just perfect!

Jaydee a perfectly delightful and happy card. I love your interpretation of a rainbow, that's what I call thinking "outside" the box, great job.
