Crafty Friends Birthday for Addicted to CAS #138

 Hi Everyone.  Happy Saturday.

It's the wonderful Barb's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and she has a wonderful code word for us:

I hope you will join us and play along this week.  If you do, and you are chosen as our winner, the fabulous Kylie has a wonderful $20 gift card for you to her store!

Happy Little Stampers

If you are looking for some inspiration, you have to look no further than the cards from our amazing design team.  I hope you will visit our very talented guest designer, too.  Her circular rainbow card is wonderful and you can find her creations here Carol Gunn

The great thing about a cord word like rainbow is that it can be used for so many different types of cards.  I realized I had some Altenew DSP in my pack that would work perfectly for the challenge.  I die-cut a piece of it and paired it with a soft grey yardstick.  The sentiment is from the Altenew set "Crafty Friends".  This card is currently in the post on the way to a friend who celebrated a birthday.

I do love this sentiment and think that it is very true.  I have made some wonderful virtual friendships through crafting and my best friends are arty/crafty, too!

I used another Altenew set, one that co-ordinates very well with the Crafty Friends set, to decorate the inside of the card:

Of course, I had to give the envelope a little pizzazz, too!

 On a personal note:

I did get onto the deck to take a couple of photographs, but the camera was not very co-operative.  However, I was able to capture a shot of the Rosebreasted Grosbeak.  We have been very lucky to have them visit and stay for the last three summers.  They travel with the Orioles and I am always happy to see them.  He really is such a gorgeous bird and his wife is so very different.  They love visiting the jelly - as well as the seeds.

I also captured the Mallard resting on the fallen stump.  He stayed there for about an hour before waddling off.

I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

I love how you paired this beautiful paper with your soft gray cardstock and how you completed the inside of your card, Jaydee! Fabulous envelope, too...another creative take on the code word!
Thanks so much for sharing these great photos with us...it's so nice to see that these gorgeous birds have a place to stop in for a bite to eat...they are very lucky to have you, that's for sure :)

Great take on the code word, Jaydee! Love the colors in that paper. I had 2 Orioles
at my bird feeder...then poof haven't seen them since. They must have been just passing thru.

And here I thought you painted that panel, Jaydee. It did come in handy for this challenge and the sentiment goes well with it. I have three pair of Grosbeaks that come to me each year. I love watching them but didn't know they traveled with Orioles that I would like to attract. My husband make a jelly feeder but the ants took over and he won't let me hang it anymore.
