Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday. I have a card and some photos to share with you tonight - and it's all about things in water :-) I saw this challenge across at a very cool challenge site- the Library Challenge. Books are a huge part of my life and I am an avid reader. I have been all my life. Whether it's poetry, novels, biographies or non-fiction.... I've pretty much covered everything - except Stephen King. Once... and that was enough of that :-) I can't remember the first time I read Hans Christian Andersen! So, when I saw this challenge,... Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a sketch for us: As usual, sketches with lots of layers cause me problems :-) After some thought, I realized I could go with a monochromatic color scheme for the layers so that it would feel somewhat clean and simple. Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday. It's the fabulous Nance's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week - and it's a clean and simple challenge. Here's a closeup of the negative space filled with silver and gold stars: The... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday. It's my pleasure to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and this is my code word: Summertime invokes so many memories, especially after the long winters of Yorkshire, England, where I grew up. It was a time of sunshine and heat so strong that it melted the tarmac on the road surface. Memories of long days and short nights. A sense of freedom when the school gates closed and wouldn't reopen for 8 weeks. When the days were warm enough that Pammie's Dad brought out the inflatable paddling pool and we would splash around,... Read more →
Hi Everyone Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our 401st challenge at the Paper Players and she has a bright and fun color challenge for us: I must confess, I don't have any of these new SU colors, so I had to match as closely as I could using Comic markers. :-) These colors did scream FLORAL to me and you know that I can't resist coloring flowers. The issue was..... what flowers to color? In the end, I decided on the Power Poppy Orchid Rocks Power Poppy was on of the sponsors of our 400th challenge... Read more →
