Stunning Cosmos Birthday

Hi Everyone.

Happy 4th to my US based readers and a belated Happy Canada day for my Canadian readers!

I have a very quick post for your tonight showcasing a card I made for two challenges:

The fabulous color palette across at Color Throwdown and the theme across at Watercooler Wednesday:

Before I get to my card - a VERY HAPPY 500th birthday challenge to the team at Color Throwdown.  The Paper Players are celebrating our 400th challenge and I know how much work it takes to keep a challenge going.  The fact that the CT team are celebrating their 500th is amazing.   Congratulations, ladies and thank you for continuing to bring these great colors for us week after week.
I've been trying to make a point of sending more birthday cards this year and decided to use these two challenges to inspire a card for the birthday coming up of one of my crafting buddies.   I love the navy, pink and gold color scheme and the patterned paper was the perfect match.  For the sentiment, I decided to go with rose gold as opposed to the yellow gold as I wanted that stripe of shine to stand on its own.
I cut a piece of Blush patterned paper - love this paper!   I then stamped the flowers and stemps onto yogurt cardstock and die-cut them with the matching dies.    I used the sentiment from the same stamp set and heat embossed it with rose gold embossing powder.
I adhered the stems to the card base and popped up the flower heads.  A single layer of foam tape for the larger flower and a double layer for the smaller one.    I also lifted the top of the stem of the smaller one away from the card base.   All that was left was to use a diamond dot for the center of the flower, which I colored with my Copic marker.
Here's my card:

Of course, I had to decorate the inside:

And the envelope:

I really do love this set :-)  It brings back so many memories for me and I am so glad that Altenew came out with this specific set.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Card recipe:

Wow Jaydee, I love the way you've made the colours in that challenge your own. What a beautifully designed card! The flowers are so dainty and, yes, the rose gold was the best choice combined with that soft blush pink. Love the blue border along the left and the way you've continued your stamping inside the card. Absolutely lovely! Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

Even your “simpler” cards are great. You have such a talent!
